1. Aug 01, 2014  It has a USB interface. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.4, and the box says it is compatible with 10.5.x, 10.6.x, 10.7.x and 10.8.x. I did a default installation with the CD, i.e. Installed everything. The scanner is visible in the USB tree in System Information. The scanner works with Epson's own supplied software, Epson Scan.App.

Have you tried a wired connection while trying to troubleshoot the problem?

I've had a similar problem in the past (I have a Brother scanner/printer) and for a long while I could only get it to work when connected via USB. Along the way I guess the drivers got updated and wifi scanning started to work.

You could try the demo version of VueScan (www.hamrick.com) as it seems to work with literally hundreds of scanners and it may operate your Epson via wifi. It's a paid for app if you want to unlock the demo mode, but worth the money.

How To Setting Up Network Scanning

You can set up network scanning using one of these methods:

• A direct connection to your scanner
• A connection to the optional Epson Network Interface Unit

Note: Make a note of the IP address or hostname of the Epson Network Interface Unit or scanner so you can enter it in these steps.

1. Do one of the following: Manually configure your scanner to connect to your network, Connect the Epson Network Interface Unit to your scanner and verify they are working properly.
2. Do one of the following to start the Epson Scan 2 Utility: Windows 10: Click and select EPSON > Epson Scan 2 Utility. Windows 8.x: Navigate to the Apps screen and select Epson Scan 2 Utility. Mac: Open the Applications folder, open the Epson Software folder, and select Epson Scan 2 Utility.
