With the 2019 release of macOS Catalina, applications developed with a 32-bit architecture will no longer be supported. Catalina exclusively supports modern 64-bit apps.
Developers of Mac applications have known about the transition to 64-bit apps for several years, and most modern applications have or will be updated to work with Catalina. However, there may be some old or no-longer developed apps thatare 32-bit only.
